FUJI X-T2 issues is it real?

There has been a lot of complaining about the FUJI X-T2 to name a few things:

  • Longevity and lasting beyond 1 year
  • Lockups consistently
  • Fallen off power buttons
  • Hot pixels (more on this later)

Although this site is geared toward Fuji Cameras I’m not opposed to sharing the truth to our readers. I will say that FUji Film cameras are not perfect and are susceptible to issues. However, I will also say the same for all modern and vintage cameras alike. If there is a manufacturer who’s cameras never ever has problems I would be shocked! Now I’m not stating this to dimish some of the issue folks have reported about FUJI but I am staying this to say that not every single X-T2 will have issues and will fail after a period of use, that’s simply not true.

Below is a video by Zedpromedia and his experience dealing with FUJI support after having to send his camera back several times over the last year.

From the looks of it, it seems the board in his camera was bad and that his issues may very well be isolated. Unless we start hearing about bad boards on all FUJI cameras I don’t believe it’s an epidemic, those who own the system should be cautious but not worried. Go ahead and share your concerns and experiences below so we can all learn and support each other.
