We have entered a new decade — 2020. Fujifilm has just released the XPRO 3 an amazing camera but many aren’t happy. IS IT JUST THE REAR LCD or is it the entire camera? I believe it’s the fact that you can’t please everyone. Anyway I want to suggest that with all the options Fuji provides the market there is a camera for everyone. Could this be a problem? the fact that Fuji has so many products and no clear niche?
Without listing all their products here are a few:
- FUJI GFX 100
- FUJI GFX 50S / R
- FUJI X-T3
- FUJI XPRO 3
- FUJI XT30
- FUJI XE3
- FUJI XT100
- FUJI X-H1 (discontinued)
- FUJI XA7
- FUJI X100F
Now Ideally for me if any one of my friends ask me to choose a camera that’s under 1000 for them I’d pick the X-T30. It has the color and speed of the X-T3 at a fraction of the cost and that’s hard to beat. However the XE3 the X100F (though I haven’t shot it) as very capable when it comes to color and specs.
So which camera is best suited for you? I intend to do some investigation on this in the coming weeks. For now I’d break it down like this:
Hobbyist: XE3 or XT100
Part time Pro: XT30 or XE3
Full time pro GFX 50 or XT3, XPRO 3
Why these Models?
Truth be told any camera can be used to capture amazing professional work (in the right hands) but the process of getting the same results will vary. I will dive into this in another post for now here are a series of images taken by 3 different fuji cameras at 3 different price points, tell me can you tell which camera costs more?
